Fabulous trip along A2O. Highly recommended. Great places, wonderful cycling, incredible food and some different experiences. Günther our guide was fantastic. Trip may seem daunting but e bikes make it readily achievable for everyone

A group of 6 of us recently completed the 5 night 6 day Alps to Ocean bicycle ride with the luxury Trail Company. We had the best of times. The daily support by Paul, the superb accommodation with delicious meals, the spectacular ever changing scenery, made it an outstanding experience. Some of us had the pleasure of the Rail Trail with them last year and are now planning next year’s cycling adventure.

We’ve just completed the fabulous Alps 2 Ocean trail with the expert support, encouragement and guidance from Gunther.
Our group bonded very quickly and we have gained new friends. Pre-trip instructions were clear and helpful - make sure to follow them to maximise enjoyment of each section.
The accommodation, welcome and food options were superb.

We recently completed the Central Otago Sojourn with Luxury Trail Company, and it was just as incredible as our first trip with them, which says a lot! This was our second time travelling with Luxury Trail Company, and it reaffirmed why we’d continue to choose them as our go-to provider. Nick and Dave were sensational.

Riding through Central Otago is simply unforgettable, the landscapes are spectacular, the trails are beautifully curated, and every day felt like a perfect balance of adventure and enjoyment. The three days of riding were a real highlight, offering variety, stunning scenery, and a sense of journey that made the experience feel truly special.

The support from the team was outstanding from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, and their attention to detail made the whole trip seamless and relaxing.

Can’t recommend Luxury Trail Company more highly. The staff go out of their way to ensure the best experience for you. From the accommodation in Clyde to the organised rides and transfers - it was very enjoyable. Bikes are excellent quality and it was a memorable holiday.

We did the 4 day Otago Rail Trail independently guided tour. Best bikes we’ve ever hired - 2 electric and 2 ‘acoustic’. Well suited to the sometimes rough gravel surface and quite stable. Only one of four had a sore rear end! Accommodation was lovely, the food surprisingly good and the wine sensational. The locals are friendly and helpful - the wine tasting at Monte Christo vineyard outside Clyde was especially good. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful long weekend in the professional, safe capable hands of the Luxury Trail Company. At 56 and 63 as two single women we covered parts of the Otago, Roxburgh and Dunstan Trails. Our group of 5 couples just completed a wonderful private biking tour with Luxury Bike Trail Tours in New Zealand, and we highly recommend! From the first enquiry, Nick was enthusiastic about planning a bike trip for us that fitted our brief perfectly.
In the planning stages every question and email was answered promptly.
On arrival, our guide Dave when above and beyond to ensure everything went perfectly. Our bikes and helmets were of very good quality, and care was taken to ensure they were adjusted for us individually.
The accommodation was excellent and the included meals delicious. In addition to the very scenic bike rides, the wine tasting at the vineyard, the boat trip / tour along Lake Dunstan really added to the overall experience.

Just completed a 4 Day experience with these guys and I can highly recommend them. From woe to go it was it ran like clock work. The E-Bikes were of high standard and supplied with everything you would expect. Gunter, our driver and tour guide was a joy to deal with and had a wealth of knowledge of the area and trails within the region. The accommodation they had organised was top class and was a perfect way to end each day. If you're thinking of doing the Rail Trail or any other of the Central Otago experiences, I would have no hesitation using these guys!

We had an amazing experience renting bikes from The Luxury Trail Company for an adventure race! From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Alicia was fantastic with communication, making the booking process seamless. The bikes were in excellent condition, and Dave gave us clear and helpful instructions on how to use them. We were provided with helmets and a repair kit (though no lights, so keep that in mind if you’re riding at night).

From the moment we were collected at our hotel to the very end, I cannot rate the Luxury Trail Company high enough. We have just completed the Alps 2 Ocean and what an incredible experience. Geoff was the ultimate host. We had the privilege of experiencing breathtaking landscapes. Geoff made every stop feel special with his wealth of knowledge, warm hospitality and super engaging personality (and that laugh!!).

The attention to detail was exceptional – from the comfort of the vehicle to the carefully chosen spots along the way to picnic and have a drink, everything was seamless. It was clear that no effort was spared to ensure we had the most memorable experience possible.

Geoff was not just a guide, but someone who truly went above and beyond to make our journey unique. He took the time to cater to our personal preferences right down to the last detail. Along the way he offered great local insights, and made sure we were always well taken care of.

The luxury aspect of this tour was felt every step of the way, whether it was the scenic route we took, the fantastic food and drink stops, or the thoughtful touches that made the experience feel exclusive.

What a fantastic experience! I have done several rides now with the Luxury Trail Company and every experience has been exceptional. We have just completed the ‘Alps 2 Ocean’ and I am left reflecting on so much more than an awesome bike ride. The ride itself is fantastic with stunning scenery but the entire experience that Nick and the team put together was world class. Our guide Jeff went out of his way to ensure that every aspect of the tour was exceptional. It cost me the same money just for airfares to Europe last year which was not a memorable experience. This trip however created dozens of memories which I will treasure for life. If you have the opportunity to ride with the Luxury Trail Company, I highly recommend it. I will be back for another ride.

I was ill at the start of our trip and could not make the first day of the ride. Nick, the owner, took time out of his Sunday to pick us up from Queenstown enabling us to join the rest of the group. Above and beyond !!

Fabulous and awesome company. We did the Central Otago Sojourn Premier tour. Could not recommend it highly enough and being a small company, the attention to detail was top quality and very personalised. The team led by Nick could not do enough for us and nothing was a hassle. The accommodation choice using Oliver’s was just beautiful, along with the three restaurants they booked us in at. Clyde where you are based is a great little spot with lovely restaurants and we even watched a movie in the small cinema next door. A final note, the e-bikes we used are very high quality and comfortable by a NZ company, Sinch.

We had a really fabulous trip with Luxury Trail Company. Alicia went out of her way to organise the itinerary to suit us and nothing was too much trouble. Our driver and main point of contact, Brian was very friendly and helpful, he even bought us towels and a blanket when we got caught in some quite wet and cold conditions A tasty mulled wine from the many delightful local bars went down a treat.
Three three different rides were perfect and varied and would suit all levels and capabilities of rider. The first day short ride was a good introduction to the bikes which were of a very high standard and well equipped.
A visit to one of the local wineries for tasting and a sumptuous platter was an added bonus with some truly beautiful surroundings. We were booked in to some fabulous restaurants for our evening meals and the local cafe provided a pack lunch each day with some tasty wholesome food and fresh juice.
Every detail had been thought through right down to the welcome goodie bag with maps, chocolate and “Butt Butter” to soothe sore spots!! Congratulations to the team at Luxury Trails, I’m sure you will have a successful future

Wow! What a stunning part of NZ to experience on a bike. The E-bikes were well maintained, providing hassle free travel. The luxury accommodation package did not disappoint and great value. From Pitches Store, Waipiata and to Oliver’s Stables the hosts presented true Southland hospitality, I’ve never eaten so well. Oliver’s was the cherry on the top. Absolutely will do this trip again. Alisha at LTC is brilliant, nothing was a problem with her friendly ‘can do’ approach. Highly recommend.

My daughter and I just finished the Alps 2 Ocean trip. It was the trip of a lifetime. Tightly run from start to finish - very professional. The equipment was top notch and the accommodation was wonderful - most places I would never find on my own but were unique and special. Nick went out of his way to make us comfortable and safe. I’m already planning another trip with them. Highly recommended.

Memorable A2O experience. Nick our guide had thought of everything starting with a fresh salmon and sushi picnic by a turquoise lake. All our accommodation was fantastic; stunning views of Mt Cook from our room the first 3 nights. Helicopter flight was a great start to the cycling trip and views exquisite. Itinerary was expertly judged and supported appropriately with plenty of local knowledge of where to stop and swim. The hospitality from lodge hosts was second to none; a special mention for Ann in Omarama and Patrick at Valley View Glamping which was possibly my favourite spot. A great finish in Oamaramu which is a quirky and vibrant spot. Faultless…
